Microblading, it is less invasive and is considered semi-permanent. Microblading typically lasts 2-3 years, depending on skin type and skincare routine. The procedure is done by using a hand tool with ultra fine needles and each ‘hair’ is gently etched into the skin, giving an incredibly natural and realistic look. Microblading can dramatically correct or fully reconstruct lost eyebrow and is excellent for those wanting to enhance their brows or who have little to no eyebrows, thinning brows from age or over tweezed brows. Pigments used are chosen to match the natural or desired brow color and skin tone will also be taken into consideration.
For the first Microblading session, the entire procedure should take about 1h45min. During this session, the brow technician will shape and style the client’s brows for client approval. We then follow with pigment color selection. Once the client is satisfied with the choices, we begin the procedure.
The client is to come in for a follow up visit in order to have any minor necessary touch ups. The second Microblading session takes place after 4-6 weeks after the initial session. This session will take approximately 1.5-2 hours to complete.
There are Several types of Eyebrow techniques aside from microblading such as ; Shaded brows which last 7 years and hybrid brow (combination of shading and microblading) the various techniques will be discussed at your consultation to ensure that the best possible technique is done to suit the clients exact needs and requirements.
APPROXIMATE HEALING SCHEDULES – What You Can Expect, Day by Day
Day 1 – The eyebrows are approximately 20-25% darker and bolder in width than they will be when healed. Your skin is red under the pigment which causes the color of the pigment to appear darker. There is some swelling, although difficult to actually see due to the thickness of the skin in the eyebrow area. This will subside. Exfoliation, which begins in a few days, will cause the excess pigment surrounding the eyebrow procedure to flake away and a more narrow appearance will result. Now skin will heal over the pigmented area and result in a softer appearance of your eyebrows. Don’t be concerned that your eyebrows initially appear darker and heavier in size than you desire. This is all part of the process.
Day 2 – Conditions remain the same
Day 3 – Eyebrows start to itch and will appear a bit thicker in texture. Exfoliation begins.
Day 4 – The skin begins to flake and peeling from the outside edges first.
Day 5 – Color finishes flaking off and appears softer and grayer for a few days until color clarifies.
Day 6 – This color will be much lighter than the end result. Don’t Panic!
